ABOUT
Why Doula Notes?
Doula Notes is a digital client management platform designed specifically for doulas to streamline documentation, enhance client communication, and support every stage of the birthing journey. Created with direct input from working doulas and maternal health experts, Doula Notes replaces the burden of juggling paper forms and multiple apps with one secure, user-friendly system for tracking appointments, birth outcomes, and demographic data.
By reducing administrative tasks, Doula Notes empowers doulas to focus on what matters most: providing compassionate, continuous care. Whether you're just starting out or looking to deepen your practice, Doula Notes is built to meet you where you are—because doulas deserve the same care and support they give to others.
Launched by the Health and Welfare Council of Long Island (HWCLI) and Kratos DP during Black Maternal Health Week 2025, Doula Notes was born out of the urgent need to alleviate the documentation and reimbursement burdens that many doulas face, particularly those serving Medicaid clients. Beyond its daily practical benefits, the platform is also a powerful tool for systemic change—the data collected through Doula Notes will help inform policy and advocacy efforts to improve maternal health outcomes across New York State. More than just a tech solution, Doula Notes is a bold investment in equity, maternal justice, and the collective power of advocacy and collaboration to uplift communities.
